"They treat you just like you were one of their own. The staff is so friendly, they're quick to get anything for you - it doesn't matter what time of the day or night. The therapy staff also did a tremendous job on me. They all really work with you to get you better so you can go home."

"When I came here I was so shaky and weak, but it just got better from there. Now I can walk with my walker, and sometimes I don't even use it. Everyone was so friendly - you feel like they really care."

Although I have ataxia, I managed to live many years by myself. But eventually, I needed more help, so I came to Wheatcrest. Everybody is very good to me here, and the therapy and rehab has made me stronger. In fact, I was able to stand for the first time in eight years! The staff is fun and personable, and enjoy joking around with me. I’ve made friends here. I highly recommend it—especially if you’re from the area. So many of the staff and residents are locals—so you’ll know everyone.

I came here from assisted living because I need a little more help these days. The staff here is very good—they know me personally and know what I need. They always treat me like a lady. Therapy is much better than I expected, even though I don’t like to exercise. I love my room. It’s a nice big suite. I love the food, too. They have a lot of activities here, but I prefer to read. That’s because after raising six children, I enjoy a little quiet time to myself. Wheatcrest makes it so easy for families, too. All of my boys are pleased with the outcome.

I came here after a hospital stay and the care was very, very good. The therapists were always cheerful—demanding, but gentle. They helped me a lot. They run a good ship at Wheatcrest. Britton is very lucky to have a facility like this in town.
