RedWing_HCC_Logo_rgb.jpgRed Wing Healthcare Community is located in historic Red Wing, Minnesota. It has roots dating back to 1950. The facility started caring for persons with brain injury and other complex neurological conditions in 1981. Today Red Wing Healthcare Community is a 145-bed skilled nursing facility that specializes in brain injury services, complex medical care and short-term rehabilitation in a small town atmosphere. We believe each person should be treated with compassion, dignity, and hospitality.

Specialized Services

To enhance our specialized services, Red Wing Healthcare Community is undergoing an exciting transformation. In early 2012, we received a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services to further develop our Brain Injury Services and care to persons with cognitive impairment. There have been changes to the physical layout and interior finishes of the facility to enhance the program. Red Wing Healthcare Community has also hired a renowned neuropsychologist, Dr. Robert Karol, to lead the restructuring and operation of our Brain Injury Services (BIS) program. Every employee on staff is educated in the care of persons with brain injury.

Our construction plans also include a new therapeutic garden area. This space will allow for safe, daily access to the outdoors for all residents. The area will give residents the chance to garden, enjoy bird watching and other recreational activities.

Our staff strives to provide an atmosphere that encourages results. We are a team of caregivers and medical professionals working to provide the highest quality of care and therapy services to help you meet your goals and return home.
